United Cutlery, manufacturer of licensed edged and adult collectibles for the entertainment industry since 1981, announced today its partnership with Lionsgate and Nu Image/Millenium Films, as well as Gil Hibben™, to license products from THE EXPENDABLES 2 motion picture, scheduled to hit theaters nationwide August 17, 2012.

In 2010, the companies partnered in a licensing agreement for the hardcore blockbuster THE EXPENDABLES allowing United® the opportunity to manufacture and distribute replica knives designed by Hibben, that were featured in the film. Once plans were finalized regarding the sequel, THE EXPENDABLES 2, it was the right move for the companies to team up again. United Cutlery has been licensing custom knives with world-renowned knife maker Gil Hibben for 24 years. Given his long-standing relationship with Sylvester Stallone, Gil Hibben designed the knives that are featured in both THE EXPENDABLES movies. For years Gil Hibben has been hand-making knives for Mr. Stallone to use in his films dating back to the Rambo III film. It was through Hibben's collaboration with Stallone that United® was able to secure the license for the upcoming THE EXPENDABLES® 2 movie.
